Across the channel, Castillo De Los Tres Reyes Del Morro, also known as Moro castle, is a fort designed by an Italian engineer to protect Havana Harbor from Pirates and Foreign invaders. It was erected between 1589 and 1630 and is the most visible landmark in the harbor area.
